Shoot for the Moon by Steve Felix

Paul McEvoy and Steve Felix have known each other via the commercial real estate industry for many years.  For even more years than that Steve has been a musician.  In 2017, Steve came to Paul with an idea to raise money for Mac Angels, when Paul was the Board President at MAC Angels.  After getting agreement from the MAC Angels board, Steve started recording new, original songs for the fund-raising project.  Now, the project has been launched!

Steve titled the album “Shoot for the Moon” in part because he felt that that phrase represented some of what the MAC Angels Foundation stands for – helping the families with someone living with ALS to “Shoot for the Moon” and live their life to the fullest.

In 2006, Steve recorded his first album, which raised $50,000 for a Chicago-based charity called Keys-4-Kids, which donated used band instruments to under-funded public schools.  He’s hoping with both the MAC Angels supporters and the network that he and Paul have in the commercial real estate industry to equal that success.

The musicians on the playlist of six songs that is available for purchase include top notch players from the Asheville, NC area – where Steve currently lives. Steve’s two sons, play on the album. Brian plays organ on a couple of tunes.  Kevin co-wrote the lyrics to “Break My Heart” and sings lead vocal on that song.  To sell more albums, Steve has included three friends from the commercial real estate industry – Beth Thomas, Ken Munkacy and Fred Gortner.  When their industry colleagues learn that these folks are on the album we hope it’ll peak their interest and they’ll buy it!

We are asking, once again, for your ‘big time’ support for our first music related fund-raiser.  The ‘album’ is only $60 for 6 songs.  You can purchase them by clicking here: https://bit.ly/2WY8gm7

Steve, who funded the recording of the album, is generously donating 100% of the proceeds of the sale of the album to MAC Angels.

The MAC Angels Board of Directors and Staff appreciate the support from Steve and encourage all to purchase this fantastic, heart-felt album.
