Kelly is a founding board member of the MAC Angels Foundation. ​Kelly was introduced to Claire Gormley Collier shortly after her diagnosis and became involved in many of the fundraisers that were held to support Claire with her journey.

When MAC Angels was formed, she gladly accepted the role of board member to help support PALS and their families. Kelly currently serves both as Vice President and as a member of the Executive Committee. She has also chaired every MAC Angels Gala and annual appeal since our inception in 2010. Professionally, Kelly is a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the state of New York.

She has a BA from Colby College, an MBA from New York University and a CPA in NY. Kelly is married and has 4 children. All of her family members have volunteered at numerous events in support of MAC Angels.

Nora is an original MAC Angels Board member and currently serves both as Treasurer and as a member of the Executive Committee. Nora was a close friend to Claire Collier and was one of the original founders of “Friends of Claire”. She continues to be a part of MAC Angels because she wants to keeps Claire’s legacy alive.

Nora knows firsthand the effects of this disease and what it can do to the families it touches. She brings firsthand experience to MAC Angels as she saw this disease from the first day to the end.

Nora is a Financial Advisor at a private money management firm in Greenwich, CT. Nora has 2 children and lives in Stamford CT.

Holly is the Chief Medical Officer at Klick Health, a medical marketing agency based in New York City and Toronto. Holly oversees the medical strategy and payer disciplines to ensure strategic and scientific relevance across communications that drive change in beliefs and behavior. Holly and her team ensure alignment of messaging and tactics to the strategic objectives.

Holly is a seasoned medical strategist, marketer, and presenter who prides herself in building communications that help advance healthcare. Throughout her career, she has found inspiration through work with neurologists, patients, and caregivers. This inspiration combined with her scientific and marketing experience has driven her to follow her passions to help families beyond drug development and communication in a more direct meaningful way.

Holly received her PhD from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Medicine in Cellular and Molecular Biology for her work in viral gene expression.

Keara Gordon

Phil Gormley, Fundraising

Kate Gutekunst

Keara is a Partner at DLA Piper LLP, a global law firm, where she has worked for more than 20 years. She graduated from Iona College and Georgetown University Law Center. She and her husband have three children and live in New Rochelle, NY.

Phil is a sibling of Claire Gormley Collier. Phil organizes or is the driving force in multiple events throughout the year raising funds for MAC Angels and ALS research organizations and as well as other charities. He enjoys being an active board member to help PALS and their families live at home with grace and dignity as Claire was able to live at home through the love, support and generosity of SO many. Phil is very involved in the “awareness factor” for ALS, as that was very important for Claire as well. Phil enjoys keeping Claire’s SPIRIT alive, as a FoCer, (Friend of Claire), and along with the synergy with the Blazeman Foundation, “We Don’t GIVE UP!…. So Other’s May Live!”

Professionally, Phil is Vice President of Sales for Peacock Apparel. Phil and his spouse Nuria of 30+ years live in Rye, and have 3 children, Daniel, Kian and Meghan who are active with MAC Angels as well.

​Kate serves as a MAC Angels board member, raising awareness of ALS and providing support to PALS and their families. Kate is Claire Collier’s sister and knows first hand the care giving involved, costs and the emotional impact of the disease.

She is also an original committee member of Friend’s of Claire which was started to help and support, including raising funds so that Claire could stay at home with her family with dignity.

Kate is an Oncology Nurse Navigator at New York Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital for over 35 years and helps to provide resources for patients and their families to navigate their journey with cancer. Kate and her husband have 4 daughters and live in Westchester.

Cathy McDonald

Cathy is the Owner and Managing Partner of the E.R. McDonald Agency LLC (McDonald Agency).  The McDonald Agency is a financial services business which was established over forty years ago by E. Richard McDonald to serve the retirement needs of the educational community in Westchester County, New York.  The Agency has expanded over time to serve a more diverse clientele. Ms. McDonald received a B.A. from Hofstra University.

Catherine’s father is Dapper McDonald.  Dapper was diagnosed with ALS in November 2008, and passed seven short months later.

The Dapper McDonald ALS Residence was founded in honor of the strength and courage Dapper exhibited while in the fight of his life with ALS. 

Paul McEvoy

Paul is a board member and former President of the MAC Angels Foundation. Paul’s mother was afflicted with ALS and both he and his wife, MC, readily accepted the invitation to participate on the original founder’s board in the mission to serve families affected by ALS.

Paul is Senior Managing Director of DRA Advisors LLC, a real estate investment firm based in New York. He graduated from Georgetown University and also has an MBA from New York University. ​Paul and his wife have 2 children​ who live in the New York area.

Corey Paris

Corey is the Director of Corporate Partnerships at Keep America Beautiful, where he oversees organizational partnerships that advance the mission of the non-profit.
 
Prior to joining Keep America Beautiful, Corey was the Development Director at the Hispanic Health Council. Corey holds a BA from Western Connecticut State University and is working on his MPA from the University of New Haven. 

Brian Woods

Brian is the Associate Dean for Advancement and Strategy at St. John’s Law School. In this role, Brian leads all fundraising for the law school and sits on the Dean’s Executive Staff. Before this position, Brian was the Executive Director of Development at Stony Brook University. 
 
Brian holds a BA from SUNY Albany and two Master’s degrees – a Master of Higher Education Administration from SUNY Albany and a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University.
