Our Support Services

When a family receives the diagnosis of ALS, they are faced with an overwhelming array of questions, paperwork, medical advice, financial and logistical challenges, and life-altering changes. Conventional health care does not begin to address the complexity of these needs. This is where MAC Angels Foundation steps in to fill a void in services.

Events

Mark your calendars! The MAC Angels Foundation has a calendar of events throughout the year.

Get Involved

Looking for a way to make a difference? If you are an adult looking to support a valuable cause, or a student in need of community service hours, there are a number of ways for you to get involved and make a significant difference in the lives of ALS families!

What We Do

MAC Angels Foundation provides services and programs to enhance the quality of life for patients, family members and caregivers who are impacted daily by ALS. MAC Angels supports families in a variety of non-medical ways, by providing the compassion, education and unique resources needed to manage the devastating effects of this disease. While we do not have a set menu of services that we offer, we meet with each of our families and explore together how we can help.

MAC Angels operates in the tri-state area: Connecticut, Southeastern New York, and Northern New Jersey. MAC Angels can assist families with anything from medical transportation to caregiver planning to health insurance advice. We recognize that each family is unique and try to meet the needs of each family. MAC Angels partners with dozens of other non-profits, to provide the needed resources for individuals and families living with ALS. Since inception, MAC Angels has helped over 500 families.

"Thank you for everything you did to help our Uncle. There are no words to sufficiently express our gratitude for your kindness and generosity to our family."

From a patient’s niece

"Thank you seems not enough to say. We are so humbled and amazed that there are people that you don't even know going over and above to help others in times of dire need. God bless you and all who work with you."

From a patient’s wife

"For all MAC Angels assistance during "A's" illness, I shall be forever grateful. Carol was especially helpful, preparing us for all the next steps of "A's" continual decline. You are well named "Angels". Again thank you, I pray you continue your dedicated work for families of ALS patients."
